Due to vast number and wide variety of responsibilities of the church Session of First Presbyterian Church, thirteen (13) divisions have been formed with each having a specific set of responsibilities. Each division is chaired by an Elder on the Session and is composed of other Session members, staff, and members of the congregation. All Elders who are currently Session members, serve on no less than one committee and, as all members, are encouraged to participate in all the activities of the church.

To supervise and coordinate pastoral care opportunities for members, as well as attend to various other care and support opportunites within the congregation.
To nominate congregational members for Session, Church Nominating Committee, Pastor/Associate Pastor Search Committees and any other committees requested by Session.
To establish and promote the mission of First Presbyterian Church locally, nationally and globally and to help members of the congregation have hands on experiences each year in mission projects.
To interpret and develop Session policies for the growth of vital Stewardship among the members of the congregation and to secure firm commitments of support for the church programs.
