Grades K-5
Using a multi-sensory approach to learning, children experience Bible stories for four weeks through four
different classrooms (art, drama, computers and games). The adventure begins and ends in Room 312.
The nursery and childcare rooms are open 15 minutes before and after the services. Please pick up
your children as soon as possible, as they may become anxious if they are the last child left in the
room. Children age 5 and under must be picked up by a parent. A sign in/out sheet and paging system
are mandatory nursery procedures. Please make sure your child's bags, bottles, and cups are labled.
For the safety of the children no gum, candy or outside toys (with the exception of security "lovies")
are allowed in the nursery areas.

Children, grades K-1, may leave the worship service before the sermon to engage in an age-appropriate
Bible story, snack and play time. Children's Church begins in room 312 and ends in the basement playroom.
On communion Sundays there is no Children's Church. The sacrament of Communion may be taken by baptized
children who have completed the "Children at the Lord's Table" class or a similar class on Communion
education.
K – 5th Grade will practice during the Church school hour. Preschool children who would like to
participate will need to attend the dress rehearsal. The dress rehearsal will be on December 3rd
from 3-4pm in the Sanctuary.
The Christmas pageant and dinner will be held on December 10th. The children of First Presbyterian
will present a short retelling of the Christmas story entitled: Tidings of Great Joy. Dinner will
follow in the Fellowship Hall.
Celebrate the First Sunday in Advent, December 3rd, in the Fellowship Hall from 4–6 pm. Activities
will include: making an Advent calendar, creating a live Advent wreath with greens from your home,
crafts and fellowship over a simple meal.
A new small group is forming to talk about celebrating the holidays while mourning a loved one. This
group is not only for people who have recently lost someone close to them but also for those who find
sadness approaching as they remember holidays past that were spent with a loved one who is no longer
here. The first gathering will be on Tuesday, November 28th at 6:30 pm in room 312. Misse Elkin will
be facilitating this group.
